Singleton Museum

The Singleton Historical Museum is housed in a c1841 building within the picturesque Burdekin Park.
The building was originally built as a gaol complete with the keeper’s residence and cells attached.
Steeped in history, this Georgian-style building with Mid-Victorian portico was originally built as a lock-up.
The Singleton Historical Society was granted the use of the former Municipal Council building in 1963 and is now home to an extensive Historical Museum. From an original horse drawn ambulance cart to furniture, farm machinery and kitchenware, the museum has something for everyone.
